DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUESTED SERVICE
The new system will be developed using Java technologies, including, Spring,
Hibernate, JSF / Webservices with an Oracle backend. Knowledge of SQL and
PL/SQL and XML-related technologies is also key.
Description of the main tasks
The work required therefore comprises:
Understanding the processes to be implemented
Design and develop based on requirements and analysis artefacts supplied by
the System Analysts, improvements to the current system
Design and develop, based on requirements and analysis artefacts supplied by
the System Analysts, new features of future versions of the system
Perform the unit tests
Write the technical documentation
Ensure that all documentation required by procedures is available and
consistent
The above list is not exhaustive.
Deliverables
The deliverables are: Release Notes,Configured Source Code, Build
Scripts, Deployment/Install Scripts, Database Scripts, Software (for Proof
of Concept / Prototypes), Technical Documentation as required as applied to
EUTCT project
Required Software Expertise
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong Java Development
(4+ years), with hands-on experience and the following skills:
Skills:
Strong core Java (at least 1.5) and Java Enterprise Edition (JSP/Servlets/
tag libraries), Spring Framework 3.0 (including Spring MVC), Hibernate 3.0,
Oracle SQL / PL/SQL, JUnit, JSF/RichFaces, Maven, Velocity Template, RESTful
Web Service
Methodologies: Test Driven Development (TDD) in an Agile
environment using Continuous Integration. Good understanding of design
patterns.
