Director System Engineering (DSE)
Position Description/Objective :
The Director System Engineering (DSE) will be responsible for the following teams in India:
1. Software
2. Board design
3. Algorithm
4. Software Quality Assurance
5. Applications Engineering

The DSE will work with his counterpart in the IC Engineering team to develop and manage the entirety of CPE products that constitute to company's product line. This implies that the DES will be responsible for all aspects of systems engineering including feature planning, program management, project planning, and coordination across teams. This responsibility shall span all aspects of product development and life cycle management.

The DSE will also be responsible all aspects of people management including staffing (planning, recruitment, training, etc.), performance reviews and appraisals, problem resolution, motivation, and growth.
This position will report to MD, India, with a dotted line reporting to AVP, Systems Engineering, USA.

Job Responsibilities:
· Coordinate across the teams and the continents to have effective interface between the Engineering teams and various operations
· Provide expert view, opinion, suggestions at different levels of the product development and management cycles.
· Set priorities in collaboration with MD, India and US HQ.
· Schedule work assignments and direct the work of various teams.
· Serves as advisor to the management for products and technologies.
Experience:
· Should have good experience in Physical Layer and Data Communications
· Should have significant experience in Signal Processing
· Should have Some Customer Support Background
· Should have exposure to hardware development
· Should have experience in managing QA functions
· Should have managed teams with more than 20 engineers.
· Should have knowledge about third party vendors and their products.
Education:
· M Tech / MS / ME in EE or EC.

IC Design Manager:
Job Description & Requirement
· Candidate must have a minimum of 10yrs experience.
· Must have a proven track-record of designing complex chips and taking them into production.
· Must demonstrate significant technical skills in the areas of processor architectures, DSP's and communication theory.
· Must be proficient in all phases of a chip design cycle - architecture, RTL coding (Verilog), synthesis, and static timing analysis.
· Must have been involved in post silicon activities including system bring-up, test vector generation, characterization etc.
· Should hold a 4 year Bachelors degree in EE/CE/ECE and a Post Graduate Degree (Masters required).

IC Design Verification Engineer
Job Description
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 yrs experience in validating complex chips.
Must be proficient in building verification environments at both module and system level either using Verilog / Perl or commercial tools such as Vera, Specman etc.
Strong scripting skills using Perl, C, csh/sh required.
Must be capable of working with the design team in defining a test-plan, execute the test-plan and have strong debugging skills.
Must have good knowledge of the modules being verified.
Strong communication and problem solving skills required.
4 yrs Bachelors' degree in Electronics & Communication required. 2yrs of MS/Mtech is preferred

IC Design / Physical Design Engineer
Required Skills:
Experience in static timing tools, synthesis, formal verification and RTL coding are essential. Scripting skills (Perl, Cshell, make ) are critical. Experience in p&r, circuit design and logic design are desirable.

Required Experience:
- Typically requires at least 3+ years of direct experience.
- Successful candidates should have
-In-depth understanding of timing issues in gate-level and transistor-level logic designs
-Should also have very good understanding of logic synthesis
-Experience with synopsys and cadence tools
-Gone through few tape-outs
-The ability to build production-quality flow automation and provide effective customer support.
Experience in physical design (netlisting, place and route, timing optimization, LVS/DRC fixes, parasitic extraction, etc.) is desirable.

Responsibilities:
Develop methodology and provide support for timing analysis, synthesis and formal verification to logic design team. The position also involves providing support for netlist ECOs, place and route, gate simulations and transistor level circuit simulations.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Architecture team
Position Description/Responsibilities: In this position you will be responsible for developing functional and cycle-accurate models in C, of our xDSL chips, to provide a reference model for validating and verifying the chips. You will need to understand the architecture of the chip, the environment used by the chip verification team, and create C-models with the right amount of detail to be able to verify and validate the chip. You will need to interact with hardware, software, and algorithm teams, to pro-actively resolve issues identified during verification, and release updated C-model versions as the hardware evolves.
Qualifications & Experience:
· B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in CS or ECE, with about 5 years of industry experience.
· Should be proficient in C, and have worked as part of a team on large software projects. Should have working knowledge of Unix/Linux, including script development utilities.
· Experience in Digital Signal Processing applications, is a strong plus.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbally as well as in writing, is needed to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with team members from different disciplines, and different time-zones.
Desirable
· Experience in developing C-Models of chips and chip verification environments highly desirable.

Senior Hardware Engineer, Board-level design
Job Description & Responsibilities:
You will be required to lead the design of high-speed boards and reference systems for broadband communication ICs in a fast paced environment. You will be involved in all phases of the development including the specification, schematic capture, layout review, mechanical design review, and hands-on board debug and testing. You will be interfacing with a various functional groups including ASIC designers, software designers, application engineering, and marketing.

Qualifications:
BS / BE / MS in Electrical and Electronics degree with minimum of 7 years experience as a Hardware Engineer.
Extensive experience in the following areas:
1.Designing in ORCAD schematic capture.
2.Designing board level and system level products using Motorola processors.
3.Designing high-speed bus and memory interfaces.
4.Working with CAD consultant to get the layout done.
5.Designing Altera or Xilinx PLDs.
6.Training technician or Jr. Engineer in debugging boards and system.
7.Working with Assembly house to kit, assemble and test the boards & systems.
8.Dealing with outside vendors and consultants, and agency approvals like UL, CSA for safety and EMI approvals like FCC.
9.Analog experience is highly desirable.
10.Experience in Firmware development is a plus.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer C and RTOS
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties include understanding communication (xDSL)systems, defining requirements, designing and implementing features, testing debugging and maintaining existing software, integrating algorithms and protocols, helping define next generation products.

REQUIRED Experience::
· Strong programming skills; 'C' on real-time embedded systems.
· Exposure to DSP communication algorithms/protocols desired
· Working experience with RTOS such as VxWorks or Nucleus.
· Experience in development on embedded boards and usage of related software and hardware tools.
· Knowledge / Experience in wireline / wireless /GSM, GPRS, UMTS with physical layer

Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Description/Objective: Become a member of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineering team. Participate in the SQA activities, which may include all or some of the following.
· Work with the engineering (Software, Hardware, Systems) team members to create test processes, various test specifications, test cases and scenarios for sanity, integration, regression, alpha, beta and production testing of all software (embedded and network management) of VDSL products.
· Execute software testing and deploy all test procedures. This includes executing test cases as per test specifications, reporting software bugs, track bugs and control build process.
· Help write and maintain automatic test software, build software and other software pertaining to SQA tasks. Software written in 'C' and Perl.
· Help with first level debugging of software under test.
· Reports to the Software QA manager.
Qualifications: BE or equivalent in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience & Skills: This position ideally requires 3 years of experience in software, systems and integration testing of hardware and software for network equipment vendors (XDSL preferred).
It requires knowledge of software testing methodologies, automated testing, software release engineering, source control, build processes, bug tracking systems and product-level testing and release to customers. It needs working understanding of various networking technologies such as LAN/WAN, DSL.
The candidate must be disciplined in software development processes, have excellent English verbal and written communications skills, a keen mind, self-motivated ability to think on his/her feet and respond well to stressful (deadlines) situations a resounding team player, last but not least results oriented.
Reasonably familiar with PVCS, Test Track, CVS, Microsoft C, National Instruments CVI, Windows operating systems, Microsoft office products and such tools. UNIX (sun), RTOS desirable.
