GUI Analyst   Developer
Our Clients are seeking a strong GUI Analyst / Developer. The person will be responsible for the design and also program GUI interface screens, they are a MS shop with .NET environment. Must know design considerations, when to use Radio buttons instead of dropdown boxes, where to place things on the screen, use of colors for clarity and ease of use, mouse movement and keystroke considerations and tradeoffs, ease of use, clarity and efficiency, error prevention etc.

 Job Description:  Java Developer

The Java Developer works closely with other members of the company development team to deliver high quality web-based sales support solutions for the health insurance industry. The Java Developer's primary responsibility is for presentation-tier and middle-tier development tasks. The Java Developer candidate must possess strong problem solving and communication skills in addition to having a customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of accountability and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Assists with all presentation-tier and middle-tier development and customization
-Responsible for maintenance and administration of pre-production code environments
-Interacts daily with project managers, business analysts, database developers and other web developers,
-Designs software applications using HTML, Javascript, XML, JSP and Java amongst others
-Writes specifications to meet client requirements for applications.
-Works with client and other engineers to program and code applications according to specifications
-Works with client and other engineers to test applications (functional, performance and load) according to specifications
-Understands and works from requirements - use cases, UML diagrams and prototypes
-Provides local and on-site training and application support to clients
-Manages own time and expenses to help ensure project profitability

Must Haves:

-4 yr degree (Bachelor in CS, IT, EE, Engineering or other hard science) (or equivalent)
-Minimum of 2 years development or architect experience in delivering web-based applications
-Minimum of 2 years of proven programming experience with one or more object oriented programming languages (Java, Delphi, C++, etc.)
-Minimum of 2 years working in a UNIX or Windows NT/2000 environment.
-Relational Database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle, etc.).
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members

Nice to Haves:
-GUI desktop development experience.
-Insurance Software Development Experience.
-LDAP Experience.
-BEA WebLogic and / or IBM WebSphere experience.
-Java Certified Programmer a plus

Additional Information: There are multiple openings, for Mid-Level Java Developers. The company has a lot of Senior People, but they need people who can do Heads down Coding. The interview process will be a 30 minute phone interview (Technical in Nature) and if successful, a second level in-depth Interview.
